Shun lives in Japan. He studies at an online English school, and we had a task — to show how amazing students from all over the world can be in an online classroom. We put together a short video with the help of his mom. She sent us lots of clips from her phone — some showing Shun as a little kid, others of him on walks or just being himself. We also asked her to record a few things specifically for us — also on her phone. We used Shun’s drawings, videos from his mom’s phone, a little bit of AI, and some light stock footage for context.

Emma lives in Tokyo, and we needed to quickly create a short trailer to introduce her. We used videos that her mom and dad kindly shared with us — some from their own collection, and some we asked them to film especially for this. We even sent them storyboard images to guide the filming — and they did an amazing job! This is the mini trailer we made about Emma. All the footage was originally in Japanese, but thanks to modern technology, we’re now able to build episodes in any language.

Kartal is Ambassador from Turkey, live blog for English school

We were tasked with filming a documentary series that would show the full life of a student studying at an online school. But that’s not all — he’s also an actor who appears in Netflix shows and series. We spent three days visiting Kartal to shoot the first episode ourselves and put together a lively, documentary-style trailer.
